“Make Cancer Foldā was put into motion shortly after I received the news that my best friend since childhood, Ethan Rhoades, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitt’s Lymphoma. This is a rare and aggressive form of B-cell cancer requiring immediate and intensive treatment. Ethan, known to many of us as “E-Man”, is receiving care at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. His treatment began July 25, 2025, and is expected to last between 6 to 9 months. Ethan embodies resilience, facing every challenge with unwavering strength and lives out his values in a way that reflects the heart and character of Christ. “Make Cancer Fold” is an opportunity for family, friends, and the community to uniteĀ and share their support for Ethan and the Rhoades family as they fight this disease with relentless faith, courage, and determination.
The Make Cancer Fold fundraising event will help cover the substantial costs of his medical journey, which includes intense impatient chemotherapy, scans and imaging, lab work, transportation to and from treatment, along with other invasive procedures, hospital stays and basic living expenses. The goal is to alleviate some of the burden from the Rhoades’ family, allowing them to focus entirely on healing.
Ethan is known for his compassion, humility, kindness and infectious smile. He holds his family and friends in the highest regard, making those around him a special priority in his life. He is gracious and always the first to extend a helping hand.
Letās extend our hand and go all in with Ethan to Make Cancer Fold.
